Titanium Coagulant Advantages
Cost Effective
- Titanium Coagulant is an intelligent financial choice, as the treatment costs are at least 2 times lower due to a lower dosage.
- The costs associated with utilization, transportation, and sediment treatment are greatly reduced due to the lower volumes of sedimentation.
- A water treatment plant using the titanium coagulant requires the same equipment, as a plant using alum.
- Titanium coagulant is efficient at lower temperatures (down to 0.6oC), thus eliminating the need to warm up feeding water, which is the current solution used by water treatment plants using an alum.
Environmentally Friendly
- The product is less harmful to the environment than any other coagulant. The sludge volume is dramatically reduced, by at least 2 to 6 times, due to the fast precipitation of flakes.
- The quality of water treated with titanium coagulant is higher compared to the water treated with other coagulants because there is no residual aluminum. Secondary pollution is 10 to 25 times less comparing to aluminum sulphate (Alum) or aluminum polyoxychloride (PAC).
- With all the required recycling procedures put in place, a complete elimination of secondary pollution is feasible.
Cost Effective
- Effectively removes pathogens and microorganisms allowing for a reduction of the amount of chlorine for disinfection. The chlorination is the main source of organochlorides in drinking water, which are carcinogenic.
- Quality of water treated with Titanfloc® is extensively higher than that treated with traditional coagulants (Alum or PAC).
- Effectively removes organic substances, suspended solids, heavy metals and harmful substances (such as arsenic or lead).
- Compared to the traditional coagulants, Titanfloc® is unsurpassed in performance because it enables the formation of polymeric structures (large flocs) with many adsorbing centres on their surface, and an array of micro-pores within the flocs. The adsorbing centres and micro-pores agglomerate various contaminants, whereas large-sized flocs ensure fast sedimentation.
- Easy retrieval due to its ability to form large flakes and sand-like dense sediment.
